I can tell you, here in Sweden the "house rules" they make up for black jack are absolutley silly, and I refuse to play. I have been to Indian Casinos in California, and a couple of European Casinos. I know I said above that I had never been to a casino outside of Nevada, but after re-thinking that statement I find it is false (the mind is the second thing to go). Do they make up their own "house rules" for live blackjack games? I was wondering about the payouts for poker machines. ![]() Harrah's is the only land based casino there, but there are a number of the "riverboat" style in locations scattered around the area. The overall feel isn't the same for me, also. The Harrahs New Orleans Theatre features live entertainment, music comedy and other special. I believe this is more because Louisiana limits the payout by law and less because of the casino greed. This hotel has 9 restaurant on site and offers a late night buffet. In Louisiana, they are lousy - will remind you of cruise ship pay tables. The main one for me is the pay tables for video poker. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else.
